About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Legends, a leading provider of hospitality and entertainment services. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production, operation, and sanitation of all culinary and stewarding operations throughout our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the management of all food outlet kitchens, ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Manage associates, including Sous Chefs and Lead Cooks, through planning and scheduling of work assignments and performance development.
  • Menu Planning and Cost Control: Plan innovative menus, maintain financial responsibility for the menu mix, and analyze menu and food costs to prepare cost and quality efficient menus/specials.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management to ensure all outlets are adequately supplied at all times, perform periodic inventory, requisitioning, and purchasing, and maintain effective vendor relationships.
  • Sanitation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local health department standards and company standards for kitchen sanitation.
  • Leadership and Communication: Direct interaction with high-level clients, perform related duties as assigned by Management, and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Culinary Education and Experience: Degree or certification from an accredited culinary arts institute and at least three to five years of experience as an executive sous chef in a high-volume food industry.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Proven track record in improving kitchen efficiencies, quality, food, and labor costs, with excellent managerial, financial analysis, team building, and communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and provide incidental or short-term support to other facilities in the event of a business emergency.
