Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our Old Brooklyn Ambulatory Clinic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless patient care experiences.
Primary Responsibilities- Scheduling patients and registering them efficiently
- Obtaining pre-authorizations and gathering payor data
- Performing basic medical screenings, including vital signs and specimen collection
- Assisting with medication administration and wound care
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or comparable military educational program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures and terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
