  • Avera Medical Group McGreevy is in search of a Board Eligible/Board Certified pediatrician to become part of a dedicated team of 10 physicians in a flourishing practice.
  • Established in 1968, McGreevy Clinic has a rich history and became part of Avera McKennan in January 2006.
  • The primary clinic is situated on the Avera McKennan campus.
  • Our network includes 50 physicians across 5 specialties, serving 11 satellite clinics that support the surrounding communities.
  • Call responsibilities are shared equally among pediatricians at a ratio of 1:11 (nursery call).
  • Physicians are employed by Avera McKennan and benefit from a comprehensive and generous benefits package.

Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center

  • A 545-bed facility with a robust staff of over 600 physicians across all specialties and 6,000 employees.
  • Serves a population of approximately 800,000.
  • A non-profit, Catholic institution that acts as the regional referral center for the Avera Health System and the surrounding five-state area.
  • Offers a full spectrum of services, including Careflight air ambulances, a Level II Trauma Center, open heart surgery, and the region's only kidney, pancreas, and bone marrow transplant programs.
  • Features one of the finest birthing centers in the nation, a Level III NICU with neonatologists, a PICU with pediatric intensivists, CARF accredited rehabilitation services, and comprehensive mental health care.

Avera Children's Center

  • The Avera Children's team is composed of over 35 pediatric specialists.
  • Located on the Avera McKennan Hospital campus.
  • Collaborate with a skilled, multi-disciplinary team including registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, case managers, social workers, dietitians, lactation consultants, patient educators, Child Life Specialists, and Family Support Specialists.
  • Our Pediatric Unit, PICU, and Level III NICU, along with the Avera Behavioral Health Center, are equipped with a total of 110 beds dedicated to the care of infants, children, and adolescents.
