About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a Family Medicine Specialist at Denver Health, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to adults and adolescents, including diagnosing and treating a wide range of diseases and conditions. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze patient records, reports, and test results to diagnose medical conditions.
- Treat internal disorders, such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, or problems of the lung, brain, kidney, or gastrointestinal tract.
- Presume and administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Manage and treat common health problems, such as infections, influenza or pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses, in adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
- Provide and manage long-term, comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of diseases, for adult patients in an office or hospital.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Make diagnoses when different illnesses occur together or in situations where the diagnosis may be obscure.
- Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.
- Collect medical history, monitor patients' conditions and progress, provide consulting services to other providers as needed, and advise other providers of patient's risk status.
Educational Requirements
- Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school Required
Licenses and Certifications
- MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required
