Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Security Specialist to join our team at the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety. As a Contract Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate surveillance systems to ensure the security of our facilities.
  • Manage the badging system, issuing temporary, employee, and contractor badges as needed.
  • Follow established security policies and procedures, including emergency response, export/import procedures, and maintenance protocols.
  • Maintain accurate security reports and logs on a daily basis.
  • Respond to security-related emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular foot patrols and truck patrols of the parking lot to ensure the security of our facilities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless security operations.
  • Conduct daily rounds of assigned buildings to ensure the security of our facilities.
  • Report any security incidents or issues to management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures, or ability to learn.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Effective team member with courteous telephone manners.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
  • Familiarity with computers, MS Office, Excel, and 2-way radios.
  • Ability to moderate walking (rounds in 3 buildings per shift).
