Position Overview

Qualifications

Education Requirements
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Licensing and Certifications
  • Active Florida RN license or valid compact licensure is mandatory. If holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association is preferred, to be acquired within six months of employment.
Experience and Skills
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities, commitment to service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication skills are essential. Candidates must be able to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives. Proficiency in computer skills is required.
Additional Information
  • Shifts: 4 Day shifts, 1 Night shift
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year RN experience and 6 months ICU experience within the last 2 years is required.
  • Unit Details: 10-bed unit focusing on post-operative neuro and stroke patients.
  • Patient Ratio: 2:1
  • Team Environment: Seeking a collaborative team player with a focus on retention.


Compensation
  • Salary Range: $29 (2 years) - $32 (5 years) - $41 (maximum at 17 years), based on experience.
  • Night Shift Differential: $4.50
  • Weekend Differential: $1.50
  • National Certification Bonus: $1.50 for certifications such as CCRN; if not certified, the facility will arrange and cover the costs.
  • Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
  • Relocation Assistance: $5,000 for distances over 500 miles and $2,500 for shorter distances.
