Job Description

At Hillsborough County, we are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Case Manager to join our team. As a key member of our social services program, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive services to eligible clients.

Job Overview

The Bilingual Case Manager will be responsible for collecting and analyzing socio-economic information, assessing client needs, and developing case management plans to promote self-sufficiency. This role requires strong interviewing and counseling skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with clients, community service agencies, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze comprehensive social, economic, legal, environmental, occupational, physical, and mental health information to assess client needs and develop case management plans.
  • Interview clients to identify deficiencies in personal, legal, social, economic, and health needs.
  • Counsel clients to attain self-sufficiency and provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Collaborate with community service agencies to provide information and services necessary to meet various socioeconomic needs.
  • Conduct outreach and service coordination activities, including writing comprehensive client social histories and case management plans.
  • Attend community-based meetings with stakeholders and providers, and act as agency representative as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year degree granting college or university in social work, psychology, sociology, nursing, gerontology, or a directly related field.
  • Two years of social services program experience interviewing clients, assessing client needs, and counseling clients.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
Working Conditions

This is a sedentary work position that requires sitting most of the time. The incumbent must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies.
