Your Role:

As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and delivery of our proprietary order management system that supports our supply chain operations. This position requires a hands-on technical architect with expertise in Oracle technologies, particularly PL/SQL and the Apex framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership: 60%

  • Design and architect application frameworks utilizing PL/SQL and Oracle Apex.
  • Spearhead the solution design for intricate order management applications and their integration with external systems to fulfill business requirements across all channels (Wholesale, Retail, and eCommerce).
  • Oversee the analysis, design, development, configuration, and deployment of solutions in line with company methodologies.
  • Create complex stored procedures and triggers in Oracle databases using PL/SQL as necessary.
  • Develop user interfaces leveraging Oracle Apex technology.
  • Collaborate with various cloud technologies.
  • Provide technical estimates for solutions and manage them through to delivery.
  • Maintain technical roadmaps for the order management system to align with business goals and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the IT organization to define and achieve strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Develop conceptual designs for complex business challenges and identify key system roadmap requirements for the order management system.

Customer Engagement and Expertise: 20%

  • Engage with business stakeholders to translate business needs into system specifications.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the order management system, partnering with technical resources to lead solution design, development, and implementation.

Compliance and Support: 20%

  • Establish and uphold best practices and standards throughout the design and development phases.
  • Mentor team members on coding best practices, design patterns, and emerging technologies.
  • Drive the completion of code and design reviews.
  • Conduct database tuning as necessary to ensure optimal system performance.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in technical architecture and hands-on development with Oracle PL/SQL and Apex.
  • Background in application development within supply chain, ERP, or order management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, presentation, and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • 8+ years in a technical architect role for complex enterprise systems.
  • 8-10 years of experience developing PL/SQL packages and user interfaces with Oracle Apex.
  • 12+ years of progressive technical experience in system design, development, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Exadata 19c and database modeling/physical database design.
  • Experience in optimizing database performance for complex Oracle PL/SQL queries through query plan analysis.
  • Experience with supply chain, ERP, or order management systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation).
