Key Responsibilities:

A typical day in the role of a Tax Associate focusing on Exempt Organizations may involve:

  • Preparing and reviewing annual information returns for exempt organization clients, including Form 990, Form 990-T, and Form 990-PF, along with related state returns.
  • Collaborating with the tax team to complete various aspects of the tax process, including tax planning, client engagement, and special tax projects.
  • Collecting pertinent tax-related information from clients to ensure accurate tax return preparation.
  • Participating in audit planning sessions, client interviews, and board meetings.
  • Assisting in the analysis of alternative investments concerning foreign and state reporting issues, as well as state and foreign returns.
  • Conducting special tax projects and research for clients while supporting the National Tax Office team.
  • Maintaining effective communication with clients, audit teams, and other tax professionals.
  • Managing client expectations to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns.
  • Adhering to project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
  • Fostering and managing client relationships.
  • Engaging in professional association meetings and forums.
  • Attending training seminars and networking events for professional development.

Candidate Profile:

  • You possess a solid understanding of tax concepts and can articulate your tax experience, including differentiating between various tax forms.
  • Your passion lies in public accounting, complemented by diverse interests beyond the profession.
  • You stay informed about the evolving regulations and policies within the tax industry.
  • You excel at problem-solving and are adept at identifying issues while proposing effective solutions.
  • You take pride in providing assistance to others.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a valid CPA license or are in the process of obtaining one; Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is also acceptable, along with 1-3 years of experience in public accounting tax work.

Authorization to work in the United States is required, both now and in the future, without visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits:

Our compensation philosophy is centered on offering competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly adheres to all local and state regulations regarding salary range disclosures. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Salary Range: $69,000 - $80,000

In addition to base salary, Eide Bailly provides a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending accounts, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
