Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Repair Specialist to join our team at the Ohio Department of Commerce. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair of equipment, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
  • Inspect and monitor work performance of lower-level maintenance staff and provide guidance and technical advice as needed.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Provide documentation and data for facilities management software programs.
  • Respond to facility issues and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Formal education in arithmetic and reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary.
  • 12 months of training or experience in maintenance repair, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry skills.
  • Valid commercial driver's license required to operate state-owned vehicles.
