Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist

U-Haul is seeking a skilled Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our fleet of trailers and SRI vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers and SRI vehicles, including tire and brake maintenance, and rebuilding and repairing braking systems and trailer components.
  • Secure trailers on lifts and dollies, and occasionally road-test vehicles.
  • Work on a production line, using proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklist.
  • Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of repair experience preferred.
  • Driver's license.
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Regular attendance.

As a U-Haul Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with moderate risks or discomforts, requiring special safety precautions. You will be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields. The work involves physical exertion, including long periods of standing, walking, and lifting, with a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
