Job SummaryThe Centrifuge Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects requiring a centrifuge for dewatering applications. This role requires hands-on operation of the centrifuge, as well as operation of special equipment such as air diaphragm and positive displacement pumps.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, including operations, safety, equipment, emergency response, and administrative functions.
- Operate the centrifuge to meet customer expectations, utilizing knowledge of maximum feed capacities and conditioning feed stock through polymer injection and chemical additives.
- Perform routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
This position is based in an industrial setting, working in refineries, petrochemical plants, utilities, pulp and paper mills, and other similar environments.
Requirements- Specific vocational preparation, including classroom safety training and on-the-job experience.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a centrifuge, with a strong understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
- Valid driver's license and adherence to company driving policy when operating a company vehicle or using a personal vehicle on company business.
A high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant experience and certifications, are required for this position.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on location and experience. HPC - Industrial offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
