Position Overview

The Aviation Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the construction project, ensuring successful completion and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision: Lead the construction team and manage subcontractor activities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Safety Compliance: Participate in safety training programs and enforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain essential project documentation, including CPM schedules and reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and uphold quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resource Management: Order materials and tools efficiently to prevent supply shortages.
  • Communication: Foster confidence with Owners and Architects through regular updates and meetings.
  • Training and Development: Recruit, train, and coordinate the field construction team, including subcontractors.
  • Project Close-Out: Ensure timely completion of punch lists and document final project acceptance.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience (minimum 4 years as Assistant Superintendent).
  • Extensive supervisory experience in field construction.
  • Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding specifications across various trades.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and job scheduling practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.
