Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at McLeod Health. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $68,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
  2. Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet holistic age-specific requirements.
  3. Provide appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating physician-prescribed medical plans.
  4. Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
  5. Contribute to the efficient performance of the department as a charge nurse when assigned.
  6. Participate in precepting novice employees and contributing to departmental growth through hospital-system initiatives.
  7. Demonstrate continued professional growth by setting goals and participating in educational offerings.

Requirements

  • Licensed in the state of South Carolina.
  • A minimum of one year of full-time experience in a comparable acute care clinical setting.
  • Certification in NIH Stroke within six months of hire date and renewal every two years.
