The Senior Financial Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and executing the financial operations of the organization with accuracy and professionalism. This position encompasses a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including cost management, financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The Senior Financial Accountant is also integral to strategic financial planning, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing best practices to optimize financial performance. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset, the Senior Financial Accountant supports the organization’s fiscal health and aids in informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end closing processes and journal entry preparation
- Finalize the month-end financial activities
- Conduct general ledger account analysis
- Compile and prepare the monthly Standard Reporting Package
- Manage customer credit extensions and wire transfer transactions
- Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
- Process employee expense reimbursements
- Generate monthly inventory reports for cost accounting and inventory management
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Proficient in basic arithmetic operations and financial calculations
- Adept at solving practical problems in diverse situations
- Capable of interpreting various forms of instructions, whether written or verbal
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word; excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
