Job Opportunity

Fitchburg State University is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join its Department of Business Administration as a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory and upper-level Business courses, with a focus on incorporating technologies and software as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate introduction and upper-level management courses
  • Provide student assistance, including academic advising
  • Participate in curriculum review and development, program reviews, and student outcomes assessment
  • Attend university functions, including commencement, convocation, and faculty meetings
  • Participate in scheduled orientation and registration programs
Requirements
  • Terminal degree in a Business Discipline (DBA or PhD) completed by June 30, 2025
  • Preference given to those with experience in AI or logistics
  • Teaching experience in related field required
  • Ability to teach introductory and upper-level management courses, with a focus on incorporating theoretical knowledge and frameworks in new/emerging business practices
  • Ability to integrate technology and software in teaching
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, demonstrated teaching experience appropriate to the level of appointment
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body
