The purpose of this position is to design and develop software applications to meet the business needs of PowerSouth Energy Cooperative. This involves gathering project requirements, converting them into application software, and ensuring the software meets the company's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and documentation of logical system requirements, scope objectives, deliverables, and specifications.
- Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
- Design, run, and monitor software performance tests to correct errors, improve functionality, and debug applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Ability to effectively convey information verbally and in written form for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of programming languages and development tools, as well as familiarity with version control tools and principles.
