Educational Specialist Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Educational Specialist to work with students with varying disabilities in Americus, GA for the 2024-25 school year.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Modify general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student development.
  • Employ various teaching techniques and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities as required by laws and regulations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state Special Education Teaching License.
  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various disabilities and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, professional development opportunities, and relocation assistance.
