Industrial Automation Specialist

Tamarack Foods is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team in Americus, Georgia.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

This role involves performing various tasks related to the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, operation, inspection, and testing of control systems equipment.

1. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical, electronic, pneumatic equipment, PLCs, VFDs, and networks used to collect, process, transmit, receive, and record data.
2. Scheduling and Inspections: Schedule and oversee periodic inspections, testing, adjustments, calibrations, and servicing activities necessary to ensure proper operation of process instrumentation and control systems.
3. Communication: Communicate with various plant departments regarding operation and maintenance of electric, electronic, and pneumatic control systems and components.
4. Quality and Safety: Ensure all work is performed in a safe and professional manner according to company policies and procedures.
5. Teamwork: Collaborate with project managers to plan, prioritize, and safely implement controls systems.
6. Training and Development: Train and mentor less-experienced technicians.
7. Flexibility: Be able to work overtime and weekend hours as required.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, team player, and ability to work independently.
• Experience: Demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills, understanding of VFDs, ladder logic, PLC programming, 4-20ma and 0-10v analog control loops, single and three-phase power systems.
