Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Development Engineer to join our team at Maxar Technologies. As a key member of our software engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing operational code for new features and defect repairs in our Direct Access Ground System (DAGS) domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop operational code for new features and defect repairs
  • Develop automated unit and functional tests

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years backend software development experience
  • Expertise in Java programming language
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3 and IAM
  • Experience with development tools such as Github, Jenkins, IntelliJ, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Aerospace and/or Satellite Ground Systems
  • Experience with test automation languages/frameworks: Cucumber, Gherkin
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Familiarity with micro-service architectures and technologies (e.g., Spring Boot)

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is $89,000.00 - $189,000.00 annually.
