This role is situated within the sports and fitness division of the organization.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee the execution of the organization's sports, fitness, and aquatic initiatives on an annual basis.
- Responsible for the planning, coordination, and promotion of activities and programs, including special events tailored to customer preferences and available resources.
- Develop and manage both Appropriated Fund (APF) and Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) budgets.
- Ensure the effective operation of all fitness centers, outdoor sports venues, and aquatic facilities.
- Handle all staffing needs within the sports, fitness, and aquatic program areas.
- Perform a comprehensive range of supervisory tasks while actively supporting the Equal Opportunity Program.
- May lead instructional classes specific to various sports disciplines.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience demonstrating the application of sports, fitness, and aquatic principles.
- Background in planning and managing sports, fitness, and aquatic programs.
- Experience in a sports program encompassing a variety of individual and team sports.
This experience may have been acquired through managing or overseeing a sports program in community settings, educational institutions, or similar environments. Required experience must align with the next lower grade level.
- Ability to make informed decisions in accordance with organizational policies.
- Capability to foster and maintain effective relationships with external agencies.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in creating various administrative documents.
- Familiarity with software applications such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in instructing fitness classes.
- At least one year of experience in supervisory and personnel management roles.

This position is open to candidates worldwide, including those eligible for Military Spouse Preference and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference.
