About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team at AEG. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our in-house catered events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Setup and Execution: Assist in setting up dining and buffet areas, ensuring all tableware and chafing dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized before each event.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests, monitor food levels, and restock as needed.
  • Guest Service: Answer guests' catering-related questions, address complaints, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Post-Event Cleanup: Clean and reset tables in between guests and perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School graduation and three years of experience in catering or a related food service area, or an Associate's degree and one year of experience, or a combination of experience and higher education equal to three years.
  • Skills and Qualities: Flexible, detailed, cool and calm under pressure, strong supervisory and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral format, knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and customer service, and basic computer skills.
