Job Summary

The Area Director is a key leadership role within the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), responsible for growing the ministry in their assigned area. This position requires a strong spiritual leader who can develop and execute a ministry plan, disciple others, and ensure the FCA ministry is conducted according to biblical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a ministry plan to grow the FCA ministry in the assigned area.
  • Disciple and equip staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes to serve others and make disciples.
  • Lead and conduct spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop effective and diverse staff to fulfill specific roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure the recruiting, training, and developing of volunteers is strategically aligned with the goal of growing the ministry in the Sports Environments.
  • Serve as the chief fundraiser and financial manager, establishing and executing an annual budget and funding plan.
  • Mobilize staff and volunteers to pray, give, and go to serve the aligned International Region.

Requirements

  • A strong spiritual leader with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.
  • Ability to develop and execute a ministry plan to grow the FCA ministry.
  • Excellent leadership and discipleship skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to recruit, hire, train, and develop effective and diverse staff.
  • Ability to mobilize staff and volunteers to serve the aligned International Region.
