About the Role:
Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced, 51-bed unit with 20 pulmonary acute beds. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for patients with heart and pulmonary illnesses
- Assume responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered on their shift
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and report patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements
Requirements:
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure
- Certification in specialty encouraged
- Membership in a professional organization encouraged
