Job Summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our OR, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating a strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient needs.
  • Collaborate with licensed staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination during surgical procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in Surgical Technology or related field preferred.
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting; experience in Cardiovascular OR preferred.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
