Position Summary:
The Accounting Department at Domino's is looking for a Senior Accountant who is passionate about financial accuracy and has a strong background in accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting (65%):
    Generate precise and timely reports related to fixed assets, ensuring they meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain the integrity of the fixed asset management system, including tracking retirements, changes, and additions.
  • Record necessary accounting entries at the end of each period, including accruals and adjustments.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyze and report on capital expenditures and related processes, identifying any potential discrepancies.
  • Engage with internal teams to resolve outstanding accounting issues.
  • Monitor account activities for anomalies and report findings to management.
  • Provide fixed asset reporting to internal stakeholders post-financial close.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on fixed assets, guiding internal teams on their implications for financial statements.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with GAAP and accurate reporting of financial results.
  • Implement and uphold internal controls to mitigate risks associated with fixed asset management.

Lease Accounting (25%):
Ensure compliance with GAAP for lease accounting related to corporate-owned assets, including real estate and equipment.

  • Evaluate leasing contracts to determine if they meet criteria under applicable accounting standards.
  • Perform assessments for new and modified leases, ensuring accurate measurement of assets and liabilities.
  • Maintain the leasing portfolio and record necessary accounting entries for lease transactions.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews to ensure the completeness and accuracy of lease records.

Special Projects & Support (10%):
Assist with various financial analyses and support the financial reporting team in preparing comprehensive reports.

  • Contribute to the development of new accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support audit requests and system upgrades.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
