Global Technology Associates is seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team. As a Material Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain by coordinating with suppliers and operations teams to deliver materials on time and in the right quantities.
Key Responsibilities- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, utilizing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage material and production requirements.
- Communication and Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to ensure they receive planning-generated purchase orders or releases, as well as forecasts, and escalate any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate cross-functional team members.
- Inventory Management: Effectively manage material requirement changes resulting from Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and forecast changes, working closely with the operations team to ensure any changes in the schedule are covered and can be achieved.
- Supply Chain Analysis: Participate in program end-of-life balance-out meetings and analyze expedited requests as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supply chain experience.
- Skills: Expertise in MS Office – Word, Excel (advanced formulas, pivots, if/then), Outlook, and a basic understanding of how a supply chain flows from the supplier's supplier to our customer's customer as well as general business practices.
