About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at AnaVation LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and compliance of critical systems. This role involves collaborating with infrastructure teams, providing technical security recommendations, customizing scanning processes, managing SecOps applications, and effectively communicating technical concepts.

The specific duties and responsibilities of this role include:
* Collaborating with infrastructure teams to harden and audit the security posture of systems
* Providing technical security recommendations to network, server, workstation, and development teams
* Customizing scan policies, dashboards, and reports for accurate scanning result reporting
* Building, operating, and updating Security Operations (SecOps) applications and systems: Splunk with Enterprise Security, McAfee EPO Endpoint Security (HBSS), Tenable Security Center (ACAS), IBM BigFix (Patch Management)
* Navigating NIST/RMF Certification and Accreditation processes
* Communicating technical concepts effectively to audiences with varying technical knowledge
* Presenting reports and status updates to audiences of various rank and influence

This position requires a Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain an SCI clearance with a CI polygraph.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Tenable Security Center (ACAS), McAfee EPO (HBSS), and Splunk & Enterprise security (SIEM) operations and utilization
  • Experience with designing, building, and configuring Splunk instances
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, CentOS, and Apple operating systems
  • Proficient in Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) standards, vulnerability and compliance scanning, mitigating findings, and experience with patch management
  • Ability to interpret network diagrams, data flow diagrams, and system architecture drawings
  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field and 8 years of relevant experience, in lieu of education, 10 years of relevant experience
