The successful candidate will be a strategic visionary with meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of the competitive environment. This role encompasses the collection, analysis, and synthesis of competitive intelligence to guide strategic choices, ensuring our offerings remain at the forefront of the market and effectively address changing demands.
This role necessitates security clearance and is primarily based onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Competitive Intelligence: Establish and uphold a thorough competitive intelligence framework to track competitors' strategies, products, market activities, and performance within the back pain solutions sector.
- Strategic Analysis: Perform comprehensive analyses of competitors' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) to shape our product development and commercial strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, marketing, sales, engineering, security, and regulatory teams to relay competitive insights and offer recommendations that shape product strategy and positioning.
- Ensure the successful implementation of competitive strategies in the market through effective teamwork.
- Market Trends: Remain informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that could influence the competitive landscape, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Actionable Insights: Convert complex data and analyses into actionable insights, enabling proactive strategies to counter competitors' actions and seize market opportunities.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports and presentations on the competitive landscape, providing strategic recommendations to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Marketing Material Development: Lead the creation of innovative and compelling marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content, that effectively communicate our product's unique value propositions and competitive advantages.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary expert on competitive intelligence within the organization, fostering knowledge sharing and strategic discussions among stakeholders.
- Engage with customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to gather insights that inform competitive strategies.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team, including scientists, engineers, business professionals, and ex-military personnel.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active, transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to application.
- Master's degree in Business, MBA, Marketing, National Security, or a related discipline.
- 13+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or strategic analysis, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
- Demonstrated success in identifying competitive threats and opportunities, with the capacity to influence product strategy and outcomes.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with experience in managing complex datasets and generating actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in relevant sectors.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive alignment and focus.
- Knowledge of and experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) is essential.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams towards shared objectives.
- Experience in developing and executing comprehensive competitive intelligence strategies in highly regulated environments.
Annual Salary: $350,000 + Sign-On Bonus: $250,000
