About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Development Engineer to join our Prime Air team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting testing and verification of hardware and the design and development of assigned avionics products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verification testing, systems level testing and validation of requirements.
  • Working cross functionally with hardware, software, and test teams to achieve hardware qualification.
  • Reliability modeling and testing.
  • Support design activity including providing early analysis using FEA techniques.
A Day in the Life

As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will lead and assist with Systems and Component Level verification, generate detailed designs with 3D CAD assemblies/components and 2D drawings as deliverables, conduct static, dynamic, modal structural and thermal analysis as needed to support design work, deliver efficient designs capable of high volume production throughput (DFM, DFA), and documentation and presentation of materials for technical design reviews.

About the Team

This role will integrate closely with internal partners on the electrical, software teams and flight control teams to develop the best system solutions. This position will require collaboration with various teams across the Prime Air organization.

Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with prototyping and implementation.
  • Develops systems engineering artifacts including design documentation, interface control documents, requirements.
  • Performs subsystem integration work, including testing component level and architectural systems requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools.
  • Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume.
  • FEA and Reliability analysis.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
