Key Responsibilities

The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant plays a crucial role in aiding the Physical Therapist in executing the treatment plan. This position requires the ability to foster strong connections and effective communication with patients.

Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Initiate therapy sessions and apply various modalities.
  • Educate patients by demonstrating the correct usage of equipment and exercises.
  • Prepare the treatment area and ensure that equipment, supplies, and clinical spaces are safe, sanitized, and well-stocked by adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard operations by protecting sensitive information.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols and report any issues that require attention.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Handle and prioritize incoming telephone calls as necessary.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling.
  • Assist with patient check-in and manage co-pay collections as required.
  • Support the Front Desk in facilitating patient flow.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR Certification and a negative TB test.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate in a professional and transparent manner.
  • A collaborative team player with attention to detail, capable of prioritizing tasks, organizing effectively, and managing multiple responsibilities.
