Position Overview:
The Auto/PD Liability Claims Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing both intricate and straightforward Auto and General Liability claims. This position operates within designated authority limits to achieve optimal results for CorVel Corporation and its clientele.
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess claims to verify policy coverage
- Establish liability for each claim in accordance with legal standards
- Conduct thorough investigations of complex third-party Auto and General Liability claims, including those that may involve litigation
- Set appropriate reserves and authorize payments within defined parameters
- Maintain communication regarding claim status with clients and claimants
- Adhere to client and carrier protocols
- Support additional claims as required
- Perform other assigned tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- A minimum of three years of experience managing complex Auto and General Liability claims
- Possession of a multi-state adjuster license
- Experience handling total loss claims is advantageous
- Preferred experience with Third Party Administrator (TPA)
- Experience in Bodily Injury and Commercial Property claims is a plus
- Litigation experience is beneficial
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $49,359 - $79,603.
