Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to work in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Corrections RN, you will be responsible for providing medical care to inmates, conducting health assessments, and developing individualized care plans.
Responsibilities:- Provide medical care to inmates, including administering medications, conducting health assessments, and developing individualized care plans.
- Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans for inmates.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to inmates.
- Active Virginia RN License
- Minimum 1 year prior nursing experience
- American Heart Association BLS
- Corrections nursing experience is a plus
- Applicant must be able to pass a background check before starting work
