Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Peraton in Fort Irwin, CA. As a key member of our Deep Space Network (DSN) program, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical distribution systems, power generation plants, and monitoring computer systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, and other associated gear.
  • Conduct monthly safety inspections of assigned buildings and ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70 regulations.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and test equipment to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
  • Collect and analyze technical data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements and ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field.
  • Completion of an electrical safety program in accordance with OSHA and NFPA 70.
  • Extensive experience performing electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
  • Valid California driver's license and ability to obtain a trusted background check.
Working Environment

This position requires working in a general office/warehouse environment, with occasional outdoor work in extreme temperatures and humidity. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb antennas, and work in confined spaces is also required.
