An ESS substitute teacher plays a vital role in ensuring the continuity of education in the absence of a regular teacher. This position requires a professional who can effectively follow and implement lesson plans, provide meaningful instruction to students, and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students in assigned classrooms while the regular teacher is absent.
  • Review and implement the regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being.
  • Report any student injuries, illnesses, or serious discipline problems to school administration.
  • Perform other duties as directed by school administration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher.
  • CT/FBI Criminal History Clearance.
  • Department of Children and Families Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Record Clearance.
  • Education Employment Verification - Act 16-67.
