Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Travel Occupational Therapist at St. Luke's Hospital. As a Travel Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ophthalmologist: Work under the medical direction of the Ophthalmologist (MD) to assist with patient evaluations, administer treatments as ordered, and supervise patients.
  • Collect Patient Data: Take patient history, administer tests and evaluations, and take eye measurements for diagnosis.
  • Support Clinical Operations: Assist and accompany the physician throughout the patient evaluation to efficiently and accurately document the patient's physical examination.
  • Meet Job Requirements: Completion of an approved training program for Ophthalmology Assistant, Certified Ophthalmology Technician, Certified Ophthalmology Assistant, or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist, and BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red or Military Training Network.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an approved training program for Ophthalmology Assistant.
  • Certifications: Certified Ophthalmology Technician, Certified Ophthalmology Assistant, or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist.
  • License/Certification: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red or Military Training Network.
  • Background Check: Wisconsin Background Study upon hire and renewed per Wisconsin state law.

  • Travel Requirements: To qualify as a traveler, the perm address of the traveler must be more than 50 miles away from the facility.
