Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy evaluation and treatment services to patients in home care and hospice settings. This role requires effective communication and documentation skills to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services. The Occupational Therapist will promote and develop occupational therapy services in home care and hospice, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications- Education: A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Experience: One year of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in home care or hospice settings.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Minnesota and Wisconsin, with Wisconsin Background Study upon hire and renewal per Wisconsin state law.
- Education: N/A
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or hospice settings.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
The Occupational Therapist must possess knowledge of occupational therapy principles, interpersonal dynamics, community resources, and legal limitations within the practice of occupational therapy. They must also have the ability to make decisions and solve problems, work in a mature and constructive manner, and exercise good professional judgment.
The Occupational Therapist must be able to regularly travel to and from various duty locations in a safe and timely manner. They must also have the ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and present information to others.
Physical Demands and EnvironmentThe Occupational Therapist must be able to walk, talk, see, hear, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. They must also be able to sit and drive, providing their own vehicle. The typical work environment is a moderate noise level, with occasional exposure to patient elements and unpleasant elements.
