Department Specific Requirements:

  • Experience in Operating Room nursing is essential. (New graduates or RNs lacking OR experience are encouraged to explore Residency or Fellowship opportunities)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.


Work Schedule: Full-time, Evening shifts, 10-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM. On-call duties are required.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and continuously evaluating care.
  • Utilize your nursing education and experience to provide care in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to enhance the quality of care, patient experience, and cost efficiency.
  • Encourage a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and healthcare team members.
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care, promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or to be obtained within three years from the initial date of hire; RNs with 25+ years of service may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) is preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state.
  • Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers is required.
  • ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification as required by the facility or department.
  • Certification in a specialty area is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
