Job Overview:

As a key member of the Child Protection Team, the Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse plays a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable children. This position involves critical assessments and medical consultations for children who have experienced abuse or neglect, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily reports of suspected abuse to determine necessary referrals to child welfare services, adhering to state regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and provide medical consultations for affected children, including detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Case Coordinators and Program Coordinators, to review cases and provide referrals for further medical evaluations when necessary.
  • Offer expert testimony and depositions in legal proceedings as required.
  • Manage the inventory and procurement of medical supplies, contributing to the clinic's operational efficiency.
  • Engage in the development and enhancement of programs aimed at improving child protection services, participating actively in team meetings and community outreach.


Compensation:

Annual salary range of $98,000 to $105,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Master's degree in nursing or a related health field and hold a valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in accordance with relevant statutes.

Preferred Experience:
  • Background in pediatric care, particularly in cases of sexual and physical abuse.
