Patient Account Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Representative to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Patient Account Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of patient accounts, while providing exceptional customer service to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze patient account data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve complex billing and insurance issues
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Stay up-to-date on changing regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in patient accounting or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
