We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our Inpatient General Medical Service team at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. As a member of our team, you will work closely with attending physicians, residents, and nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist with daily patient rounds, monitoring patient care and formulating treatment plans
- Write daily progress notes and implement attending physician instructions for patient management
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice and as directed by the attending physician
- Order and interpret laboratory testing and other special examinations as requested
- Provide education to patients and families, and document in the medical record as appropriate
- Graduate-level education in a Physician Assistant program approved by the AMA Board of Approval and Certification of PA programs
- Board Certification by the National Commission on Certification of PA/NPs
- Current licensure to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- One year of relevant full-time experience as a PA/NP in this specialty, preferred
