Kimco Staffing Services is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Specialist for our esteemed client.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The role involves executing various tasks, which may encompass receiving and processing incoming inventory and materials, selecting and fulfilling orders from stock, packaging and dispatching orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving inventory in the warehouse.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and forklift handling
- Proficient in operating heavy-duty industrial forklifts (25K pounds +)
- Forklift Certification is mandatory
- Experience with handling pipe materials (both carbon and stainless steel) is advantageous
- Strong work ethic: ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Adherence to all safety regulations is essential
- Applicants must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
- Availability for a minimum of 40 hours per week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the unloading of trucks and verifying incoming merchandise
- Sort and position materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established organizational standards
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by keeping storage areas and workstations orderly; perform cleaning tasks as necessary
- Organize the warehouse and work area to ensure orderliness at all times
- Utilize appropriate safety equipment consistently
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to use hands for handling, reaching, and communication
- Frequently lift and/or move objects weighing between 10-50 lbs; occasionally lift or move items exceeding 100 lbs. (with proper lifting equipment)
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and perform climbing or balancing tasks
Vision Requirements:
Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
