We are seeking a highly skilled CNO Firmware Developer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our Cyber Mission Business Unit, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining firmware for hard drive devices. Your expertise in reverse engineering and vulnerability research will be crucial in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.
Responsibilities- Design and develop firmware for hard drive devices, taking into account the underlying hardware and software requirements.
- Optimize algorithms and software implementations to meet performance, binary size, and utilization requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive testing of software products.
- Develop and implement software implants with network communications and persistence capabilities.
- Document software designs, explain performance tradeoffs, and decompose high-level designs into specific software development tasks.
- Recommend new technologies and processes to achieve assigned goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Five years of software engineering, reverse engineering, or vulnerability research experience.
- Two years of experience in Computer Network Operations, including Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) and Computer Network Attack (CNA) or computer security experience on Windows, UNIX, or Mobile platforms.
- Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
- Firmware development experience, particularly with hard drive devices.
- Reverse engineering expertise.
- ARM Assembly development experience.
- C programming experience.
- BIOS or UEFI experience.
Peraton offers a competitive salary range of $86,000 - $138,000, heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage, 25 days of PTO accrued annually, and participation in an attractive bonus plan.
