Job Summary

The Control Center Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability of the Bulk Electric System by ensuring all sites comply with North America Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all sites adhere to NERC standards and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Generator Monitoring: Monitor the performance of generators and dispatch technicians as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain person-to-person communication capabilities between generators and regional entities.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Maintain a thorough understanding of compliance requirements as set by NERC, Interconnect Agreements, and Power Purchase Agreements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document generator planned and forced outages and maintain training requirements.
  • Operational Support: Support operational corrective maintenance activity administratively through the ticketing system.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of generators through real-time and historical analytical tools.

  • Adherence to Company Policies: Work within SOLV Energy's business processes and ensure an efficient working environment.
  • Project Management: Complete projects on schedule and ensure quality control.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Meet customer and client satisfaction expectations.
  • Timeliness and Coordination: Respond to system and training needs in a timely manner and coordinate O&M projects with client priorities.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems as they relate to utility scale solar plants and DC systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work within project teams, analyze, troubleshoot, and prioritize problems independently.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Safety: Understand safety principles and safely work on equipment.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate.
  • Technical Certifications: Type 40 GWAM and ability to answer multi-line telephone.
