Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician Mechanic to join our team in New Stanton, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
  • Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
Benefits
  • Average weekly pay: $1148
  • Hourly pay: $25.81 per hour
  • Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: First shift, 7:00am – 3:30pm
