Job Title: Lactation Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team at Piedmont Newton Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate breastfeeding dyads, developing and implementing comprehensive care plans to support successful breastfeeding outcomes.
  • Provide expert lactation assistance, education, and support to patients, promoting a culture of breastfeeding excellence within our healthcare system.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal breastfeeding outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs and resources to promote breastfeeding awareness and support among healthcare staff and patients.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a strong background in lactation management.
  • Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience in the area of specialty or one year of education experience.
  • Registered nurse with current non-restricted license and certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
