The Nurse Residency Program at Prisma Health is designed to provide new graduate nurses with a solid foundation to launch their nursing career. As a Nurse Residency Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Attend all quality and core curriculum classes, actively participating in professional development workshops and peer support groups.
- Successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
- Work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team, refining nursing knowledge and skills.
- Actively participate in managing clinical situations for which you are assigned, under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
- Adhere to policy and procedure requirements of the organization, including licensure renewal, assigned training, employee health screenings, time and attendance policy, dress code policy, patient confidentiality, infection control, and medication administration.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing required.
- Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.
- BLS required.
