We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PET/CT Technologist to join our team at Tower Imaging Valencia.
Job Summary:
The PET/CT Technologist is responsible for providing patient care services by performing CT exams and x-rays in a safe and productive manner that prioritizes patient safety and information security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PET/CT scans on patients in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines while providing utmost care.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring accurate dosage and adherence to radiation safety standards.
- Monitor patients during scans, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the procedure.
- Quality and regulatory requirements, including radiation safety protocols and patient confidentiality.
- Operate and maintain PET/CT equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine quality control checks.
- Collaborate with physicians to obtain and interpret imaging data.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, observations, and any adverse reactions.
- Ordering of supplies.
- Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
- Meets regulatory requirements for licensures/certification renewal and complies with Tower's in-service training, attendance, punctuality, uniform, and dress code.
- Maintains utmost confidentiality in handling company and sensitive patient information, documents, and films/CDs.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a PET/CT Technologist.
- Proficiency in operating PET/CT scanners and associated imaging software.
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical administration and radiation safety protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and image interpretation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
Physical Requirements and Exposures:
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting, occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Hand and finger mobility for use of reaching and manipulating keyboards and other imaging equipment.
- Occasional lifting of materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Clear hearing and speaking voice sufficient for face-to-face and telephonic communications.
- Clear vision, with or without correction, for near and far work, sufficient to operate office and medical equipment. Color vision is required.
Additional Information:
- Must be willing to work overtime when requested and authorized.
- Responsible for completion of continuing education credits sufficient to retain current licensure at own cost and on own time.
Salary Description:
$60 - $70 per hour
