The Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic studies utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment with minimal supervision.

The duties include:

  • Obtaining and evaluating patient-related information to produce appropriate images.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of age-related information to produce suitable images.
  • Providing quality services to client facilities and patients.
  • Performing diagnostic studies, selecting the proper technique/protocol to obtain the best data.
  • Administering intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by the physician.
  • Operating and manipulating gamma camera to produce and process images.
  • Providing safe transfers and assistance to patients.
  • Operating equipment safely and according to equipment and client facility guidelines.
  • Preventing the transfer of infection and blood-borne contaminants.
  • Complying with work instructions and meeting quality and quantity criteria of client facility.
  • Complying with policies and procedures of Quik Travel Staffing and client facility.
  • Performing assignments in an independent and professional manner.
  • Maintaining current skills to perform the above duties in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Observing and maintaining compliance with all applicable client facility, JCAHO, Federal, State, and County regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current License/Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services.
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR card and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification if required.
  • Must have CA License In Hand to Apply.
