Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support within our healthcare facility. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our medical practice and enhancing patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcome patients and facilitate their transition from the waiting area to the clinical setting, ensuring all necessary intake procedures are performed, including recording vital signs and verifying medical histories.

  • Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records (EMR), including demographic details and medication history.
  • Handle clerical tasks related to patient care, such as preparing patient charts and managing necessary paperwork.
  • Stay updated with the EMR Orders Reconciliation process as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination area after each patient visit.
  • Prepare patients for their appointments by ensuring they have the required materials and are in appropriate attire.
  • Assist in conducting in-office tests as directed by healthcare providers and coordinate any necessary external services.
  • Collect and process specimens as instructed, ensuring accurate logging of results.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the upkeep of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Provide guidance and training to new team members regarding office procedures.
  • Participate in audits and quality assurance tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in practice-based competencies for any applicable in-office procedures.
  • Engage with patients and colleagues in a manner that reflects our commitment to service excellence.
  • Adhere to all compliance requirements related to the role.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
High School diploma or GED. Recent graduates of a Medical Assistant program, Nursing Assistant training, EMT certification, or those with three years of relevant experience in a medical setting are encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of medical terminology and proficiency in obtaining vital signs are essential.

Preferred:
CPR certification is advantageous.

Compensation:
$29.51 per hour
